Stacy McCarthy

Founder and Managing Partner

Stacy McCarthy works with individuals, teams and organizations helping them develop clarity in their strategic intent and to focus on the critical drivers to reach their goals. Her passion is this clarity – being able to solidly answer the question – why? – and garner the personal and organizational resources to create the future. She subscribes to a saying commonly attributed to Peter Drucker: “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

Throughout her diverse career, spanning strategic planning, portfolio management, finance and operations, Stacy has worked with individuals and companies in the high-tech, bio-tech, construction, entertainment and internet industries.

Stacy creates an energetic environment where clients stretch themselves and their own notion of what’s possible to make bolder and better choices in building their own unique leadership and management capabilities. This is always with an eye to re-shaping the culture of the organization by enabling the demonstration of successful new behaviors, that, with time, become the cultural norm. By challenging pre-conceived limitations and co-creating value propositions (double-clicking on the client’s clients needs), she helps clients to identify, clarify, and achieve new, farther-reaching goals.

Prior to launching her consulting career, Stacy was a global director of strategy and planning at Hewlett Packard in their consumer operations division. With her global team, she helped drive focus and innovation in their e-commerce, CRM and customer support divisions. She developed her passion for the technology sector over 20 years ago while in college in Seattle at the University of Washington when she committed to moving to the heart of innovation – the Silicon Valley. It’s this environment of innovation that continues to inspire her and drive her passion for research and discovery of that which connects our human-ness to business and to the expansion of what is possible.

In addition to her consulting practice, since 2008 she has served as the President of the Association for Strategic Planning’s Northern California Chapter.

She commits herself to the highest level of satisfaction to her clients and specializes in identifying specific resources to meet client needs. That is, the realization that what we come together to create will always be that much greater than what we as individuals can create.
